I have no military experience. Is it possible to enlist in the Special Forces shortly after joining the military?

believe me dude….. you will need a decent amount of expierience to get into special forces, i know a couple of my dads friends. They all went a few years normally in the military then joined special forces.

US Marines from Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, take highly accurate indirect fire at Patrol Base Georgetown in Kajaki Sofla, Afghanistan on November 22, 2011. The Marines suppress the enemy with squad automatic weapons, TOW missiles and .50 caliber machine guns. After 5 hours the Marines take casualties and get the wounded medevac’d.

I want to join the Army and I’m interested in Special Forces. What should I do to try and improve my chances of being considered for Special Forces?

take up residence with the 82nd airborne for a full stint, prove yourself and apply through your chain of command. it’s only a short drive across post so no travel is involved…if you don’t make it…it’s a short drive back.
you need to be airborne qualified and atleast an e-4 to apply. infantry skills are a plus.
